The International Human Rights Movement was launched in October 2022 by Dr Rizwan Cassim, focusing on Sri Lanka and has been in operation for one and a half years.

At least 900 members are operating under this organization in 10 districts in Sri Lanka.

The non-profit organization conducts social services without caste, religion, or ethnicity in recognition of Dr Rizwan Cassim’s work.

An awards ceremony was held in Colombo recently to recognise the best social worker.

The function was organized by Deshabandhu DR Rishwan Qasim, Executive Director, International Center for the Protection of Human Rights.

The Chief Guest at the occasion was the 6th Executive President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena.
