Lanka Hospitals PLC has won the Gold Award in the Health Sector at the TAGS Awards 2025, marking the third consecutive year the hospital has been recognised for its world-class reporting standards. This achievement coincides with the 60th “Diamond Chapter” anniversary of the awards organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
The 2025 TAGS Awards celebrated sixty years of benchmarking Transparency, Accountability, Governance, and Sustainability. Lanka Hospitals’ sustained success validates a reporting culture that goes beyond compliance to deliver transformative clarity for stakeholders.
The recognition affirms Lanka Hospitals’ commitment to trust through transparency. By providing fair, balanced, and forward-looking accounts, the hospital ensures investors, patients, and other stakeholders can engage with confidence. Group Managing Director Chaaminda Kumarasiri said, “Three years. Three Golds. One unwavering standard. Excellence is structured, measured, and delivered. This win underscores how we create and sustain value for the nation.”
For the first time, the awards incorporated AI-driven evaluation criteria, assessing quality, clarity, and credibility of annual reports. Group Chief Financial Officer M.B.G. Wickramasiri added, “Winning the Gold award again affirms the rigour we apply to financial stewardship. Transparency is a core value that ensures accountability to shareholders and the public.”
Lanka Hospitals continues to set healthcare standards with Joint Commission International accreditation, CAP accreditation for its laboratory network, and innovative medical technology. The award was received by Chaaminda Kumarasiri and M.B.G. Wickramasiri at a ceremony held at the Shangri-La, Colombo.
