
Sri Lanka recorded a successful presence at Ambiente Frankfurt 2026, the world’s leading international trade fair for consumer goods, held at Messe Frankfurt in Germany.
The combined Ambiente, Christmasworld, and Creativeworld exhibitions brought together buyers, suppliers, and industry leaders from over 170 regions, featuring more than 4,600 exhibitors. The events highlighted the latest trends, innovations, and sustainable solutions, reaffirming their status as one of the most influential global marketplaces for consumer goods.
Sri Lanka was represented by six exhibitors, Dankotuwa Porcelain, Gospel House Handicrafts Ltd., AMP Ceylon Ltd., Art Decoration International, Javana Graphics, and Phoenix Industries Ltd. They showcased a diverse product range including home and living goods, handicrafts, stationery, office supplies, and creative crafts, demonstrating the country’s design strength and manufacturing expertise.
Phoenix Industries Ltd. Assistant Manager, Exports and New Markets Eranda Kularathne said the company was satisfied with its participation, noting that the exhibition provided strong exposure to international buyers and enabled valuable discussions with potential partners from new markets. He added that the quality of inquiries and interest in their products reaffirmed the importance of the platform for expanding global reach.
The exhibition attracted significant international buyer interest, with Sri Lankan exhibitors reporting strong visitor traffic, promising inquiries, and potential export partnerships. The Paperworld segment, in particular, generated increased engagement for companies specialising in stationery and creative products, opening access to emerging global markets.
Sri Lanka’s participation highlighted its manufacturing strengths, commitment to sustainability, and growing export potential, further reinforcing its presence in the global consumer goods market.
